our Services
Our goal is to reach out to as many families as possible and help ease the everyday burdens that come along with a diagnosis of a serious illness. With time lost from work, many families might find themselves unable to keep their monthly bills paid. Insurance often meets only a portion of the medical expenses, which can be exorbitantly high in some cases. Many families don't even have health insurance coverage. With the price of gas right now it can be costly just driving to and from the hospital and/or doctor visits. Perhaps there are families who need modifications to their home in order to accomodate the patient after coming home from the hospital. These are the types of burdens that we would like to help these families bear in order that they would be able to concentrate on regaining the health of their loved one.

Please consider the case of fifteen year old Jennifer. Jenn is a high school sophomore. She is a member of the Red Lion Area High School field hockey team. Jenn was a happy, active teenager, looking forward to going to Homecoming, playing goalie for her hockey team and those hectic (but fun) high school years. In September Jenn was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a cancer which attacks the nervous system. Instead of going to Homecoming Jenn was undergoing chemotherapy treatments at Hershey Medical Center. She faces approximately six months of treatment for this cancer. Jenn's family needed to have a downstairs bathroom installed before she could come home from the hospital. We assisted in this project.
